WFLA News Channel 8 reports that wildfire danger risk is very high in portions of Tampa Bay area due to the increase in dry conditions and low humidity.
“Each day, the Florida Forest Service estimates the potential for a fire to start. The agency does not consider how quickly any fires that do start will grow, or how difficult they will be to suppress.”
In fact, the agency urged families to develop a wildfire action plan, similar to a hurricane evacuation plan. It provided a checklist on what to do before, during and after the threat of wildfires, which can be found here.
