Jimmy Patronis, state CFO, met with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) last month to discuss Hurricane Michael response efforts, flood insurance issues and other relating topics.
This meeting was vital in ensuring that in the future, the federal and state government will work together more effectively and efficiently when dealing with future disasters.
Hurricane Michael hit back in October 2018, however the damage still continues to affect many areas throughout Florida, including Bay County, where Patronis is based out of.
After Patronis met with FEMA’s Acting Administrator Pete Gaynor, he had positive things to say. Patronis claims that he plans on continuing to build and progress relationships with federal officials in Washington in order to improve recovery from Hurricane Michael and all other possible future disasters that we may face.
