The law firm Insurance Litigation Group worked with two South Florida rabbis to donate $40,000 worth of food and supplies to low income, homebound residents in North Miami Beach affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Baskets delivered included food items for holiday meals, disposables, cleaning and disinfecting solutions, masks and other non-perishable foods.
The two rabbis who worked with Michael Biberman, owner and founder of ILG which is based in North Miami Beach, and Chaim Breier, the firm’s director of business development, are Aharon Dovid Singer and Mark Rosenberg. Singer is the rabbi at the Torah study institution Kollel Zichron Michel of North Miami Beach. Rosenberg is director of the Florida Division of the organization Chesed Shel Emes and chaplain to law enforcement agencies including Florida Highway Patrol and the North Miami Beach Police Department.
“Many area families have been devastated by job losses and economic issues connected with the pandemic,” Singer said in a news release. “Michael and Chaim from ILG are usually the first to ask, ‘who needs help,’ and they always deliver, without fanfare.”
Rosenberg said in the release “It’s just like Michael Biberman and Chaim Breier to get out in front of a situation without being asked for help.”
“We worked with other local religious leaders to help them identify families in need in the greater North Miami Beach area, some who had been laid off and others who would never let it be known they were financially distressed. When COVID hit, they were there for our community with food, tableware and valuable supplies for families to cope with the COVID pandemic.”
