60 percent of the insurance claims filed weeks after Hurricane Michael were from Bay County, the most destructed county from the category 4 storm.
As of Wednesday, 101,145 claims were filed and 61,054 belonged to Bay County.
The next high number of claims was from Jackson County, which had a total of 10,569 claims. Leon County followed Jackson with a total of 6,693 claims. Gulf County had 5,902 claims and Gadsen County had 4,178.
The overall loss estimates to about $1.344 billion, according to the Office of Insurance Regulation.
The category 4 storm landed in Mexico Beach southeast of Bay County while destroying its way into Georgia.
