Experts warned that Hurricane Sally would potentially cause “historic flooding” and life-threatening flash floods. Both the Florida Department of Emergency Management and the National Hurricane Center expressed that Northwest Florida was at the height of their concerns, with flooding and extreme rainfall levels as potential threats.
Search and rescue teams have been deployed to the Florida panhandle. The Florida National Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission have been helping with efforts as well.
