Northwest Florida is still recovering from Hurricane Michael. According to numbers posted on the state Office of Insurance Regulation website, estimated insured losses have climbed to more than $6 billion in March.
Like damaged and destroyed businesses, homeowners who experienced significant Hurricane Michael damage and even those who experienced additional water and freeze damage to their homes, need to make sure they are prepared to deal with insurance companies that may have been overwhelmed by the tens of thousands of Hurricane Michael claims and did not have the personnel or time to properly adjust their claims.
