Central Floridians reported seeing multiple tornadoes Saturday, including at least one near downtown Orlando as the effects of Tropical Storm Cristobal were felt across the region.
Reports of damage poured in Saturday night. Orange County deputies said they responded to reports of a tornado that touched down in the Ferncreek and Conway areas. There were numerous reports of damage and downed power lines in that area.
On Sunday, the National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado tore through the Orlando area.
Orange County Fire officials said at least eight homes in the Conway area sustained heavy damage. Officials said they are working with the Red Cross to help people who have been displaced due to the storms.
